Nicole and Steven met while she was waitressing at a restaurant called Splashes in Glenashley in June 2011. Steve took some clients out for dinner with his business partners and Nicole was their waitress that evening. They happened to bump into each other a couple days later at Hops in Riverside on a night out and recognized each other. They chatted over a few drinks with friends and eventually got to exchanging BBM pins. They hit it off really well and ended up moving in together 3 months later.
Steve proposed by making Nicole an amazing 3 course dinner at our home on the 01st April 2015. After dessert he gave her a fortune cookie that read “Nicole Stander Will you marry me” and they celebrated with lots of wine & champagne!
They chose Tala Game Reserve as their venue quite unexpectedly. They had just had a weekend away in the Midlands to view all the venues they had set out to see and on the way back saw Tala and thought they would pop in just to have a look. Well they fell in love with the Figtree venue with its rustic look and feel which was exactly what they were looking for. Steve and Nicole really wanted to have their ceremony outside which Figtree was perfect for. The chef, Richard food was incredible and staff super helpful and friendly. They really made a great choice with Tala.
In Nicoles words..
Our wedding day really was everything we had ever imagined and more. We woke up full of nerves but as the day progressed it slowly turned into great excitement (with the help of a little Biral, we won’t lie!). Even with a few hitches here and there nothing seemed to bother us on our special day and everything ran so perfectly. We had all those special to us there to celebrate which made our day even better! We really had so much fun throughout the day & evening dancing all the way til closing time @ 1am. It really was a magical day.
