Mfundo and Precious met in 2006. Mfundo says she somehow managed to pause time and his vision was focused entirely on her. He wanted to accustom himself to Precious and make his intentions clear and although they continued to meet frequently through friends, the fear of rejection took over at all encounters.
It was on a lazy Sunday in 2007 when he received a call from his friends that SHE wanted to see him so they all got in the car to fetch him- haha.
After a few hours of chatting, their conversation was sealed by the words “does this mean we are boyfriend and girlfriend now?”
They would spend hours on the phone and even more time together in his first generation VW Golf MK1 and Precious knew that it was all real when she discovered how comfortable she was being herself around him and how much they had in common.
As time went by, they grew fonder of each other with many instances confirming that their love for each other is robust.
Mfundo says he found himself on one knee at 23h59 on the 31st December and at 00h00 1st January 2013, he was the happiest man alive.
They decided their ceremony should take place at Parish of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as this was a sacred place where they worship every Sunday and the same place where they made their vows before God.
Our wedding day was perfect in our eyes and hearts, from the weather, the service when we were joined in holy matrimony in front of our family and friends, the décor and Bellevue Café for its contemporary bistro ambience, the amazing food, the dancing and just everything, especially the love and support we received from our guest.
