Jason and Joelle met one fateful night at the old Cottonfields in Umhlanga. Joelle had just finished writing her matric exams and was not in the mood to go out on the town that night, but thanks to a group of very insistent friends, she decided to go out for “just one drink”. It was obviously all meant to be, because as she and her friends were walking into the bar, Jason and his friends were walking out, ready to make their way home. After that first encounter at the door, Jason decided he wanted to stay around a little longer and perhaps pluck up the courage to ask Joelle to dance. After a few “strawpedos” he finally managed to do just that. Fast foward 5 years, Jason proposed at the Oysterbox and 2 years after that they are husband and wife!
They chose Crinkley Bottom Park, after looking at many beach wedding venues, purely for its beautiful surroundings. The Chapel setting was so natural, airy and peaceful and looked stunning with the draping. The Boma and snack area fit in perfectly with their rustic theme and took their breath away with its earthy atmosphere.
Their wedding day was a day of anticipation, excitement and romance. This day had been in planning for 15 months and when it finally arrived it was all it was meant to be and more. The weather turned out perfectly and set the scene for the traditional vows which was followed by a relaxed and light hearted reception. It was the perfect day spent with wonderful family and close friends and ended with a bang with the best party Crinkley Bottom had ever seen!
